libncurses5-dbg software package provides debugging/profiling libraries for ncurses, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libncurses5-dbg
libncurses5-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libncurses5-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libncurses5-dbg *
You will get with libncurses5-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
